Motor Yacht Trilogy - Destination - Great Lakes

April 24, 2009 - Churchill Yacht Partners and Captain Michael Witters of M/Y Trilogy have created the following scenic and entertaining 7-day charter itinerary aboard M/Y Trilogy this summer in the beautiful Great Lakes.

M/Y Trilogy is a 90' Stephens which went through a total refit in 2007.  She can accommodate 8 guests in 4 cabins.  M/Y Trilogy features two full-beam cabins, master and VIP, each with private bath and jacuzzi tub.  Two additional guest staterooms have twin berths and ensuite heads with showers.  In addition to the usual toys, Trilogy tows a 31' Fountain Fishing tender, which is perfect for fishing in Lake Michigan and around Mackinaw Island.

Trilogy Great Lakes Itinerary

Distances are 2 – 3 hours cruising between stops

Day 1:  If flying in on a commercial flight:

Arrive Traverse City, Michigan, where your Captain will meet you at the airport and escort you to the city docks where you will board Trilogy.   Settle in and relax. After lunch, cruise to the quaint antique fishing village of Northport on the western arm of the Leelanau Peninsula.

Day 2:

Cruise to Charlevoix, Michigan where you can enjoy the shops, art galleries and restaurants. Afterwards, take a leisurely ride down Lake Charlevoix to Boyne City, enjoying water skiing or tubing along the way. The golfers will have an opportunity to hit the links at Boyne Highlands or any of the other nearby golf courses.

Day 3:

Leave Charlevoix for a short cruise to Bay Harbor, a quaint man-made Community (similar to Vail, CO), known for its upscale shopping, homes, and restaurants. Equestrian riding and golf are both available here.

Day 4

Cruise to the historic resort town of Harbor Springs (somewhat comparable to Nantucket), long time summer home to some of Michigan’s wealthiest families.

Day 5 & 6: Leave Harbor Springs and proceed north. You might decide to head over to

St. James Harbor on Beaver Island and spend some time there, or continue under the

Mackinaw Straits Bridge to historic Mackinaw Island. There are no cars, transportation is

provided only by bicycle, horseback or horse-drawn carriage. You can cycle the eight mile

circumference of the island, enjoy touring the historic two forts, and visit the town’s many artisan shops. A visit to the Grand Hotel, boasting the longest outdoor open air porch in the world, is always a delight.

Day 7: Take a picturesque excursion through the Cheneaux Islands. Spend the night at

a remote island anchorage, or return to Mackinaw City for your departure from Pellston, a short ride from the Mackinaw City Marina.

If Arriving by private jet one can fly into Mackinaw and finish up in Leland

M/Y Trilogy and her fabulous captain and crew are available for charter at a weekly rate of $29,500 plus expenses.  To see more photos and information on M/Y Trilogy click here.

Rikki Davis at the Marmaris(Turkey) Boat Show

May 12, 2009 - The Marmaris Boat Show which is located in Turkey is taking place this week.  There are approximately 60 yachts and gulets on display for professional charter brokers to view and inspect.

According to Rikki, she is one of only four U.S. based brokers in attendance at this year's show.  In 2008, Maggie Vale from Rikki Davis Yachts at Churchill Yacht Partners was one of only eight U.S. based charter brokers in attendance.

While photos can be altered, in print, to make a yacht look beautiful, physically inspecting these yachts and gulets allows the charter brokers at Rikki Davis Yacht to gain the knowledge to properly inform our clients which yachts and cruising itinerary would suit their charter vacation desires.

Boat shows in places like Turkey, which is being attended personally by Rikki Davis, and the Poros boat show held two weeks ago in Greece, which was attended by Maggie Vale and Nancy Latinette, are two prime locations where visually inspecting the yachts available for charter are critical.

If you are interested in chartering a luxury yacht in Turkey, Greece or anywhere else in the world, please contact us today.  Our personal knowledge of the yachts, crew and locations is why the charter brokers from Rikki Davis Yachts at Churchill Yacht Partners have been successfully booking yacht charters for our clients located worldwide for 30 years.

Please contact us today for your upcoming summer yacht charter plans.

Please remember, we can book any yacht that is available for charter that you see online, in a magazine, in promotional material, hear from your friend, etc.

If you are new to chartering a luxury yacht and would like to learn more, please contact us as well.  We are more than willing to walk you through the entire process.

Maggie Vale Attends Greece Charter Show

May 6, 2009 - Maggie Vale  recently returned from the Greece Charter Show in Poros, Greece.  The show was held from April 29, 2009 through May 4, 2009.  Both Maggie and Nancy stated that the show was fabulous.  There were many yachts in the show that both Maggie and Nancy would recommend to clients interested in chartering in Greece this summer.

While there were many brokers from Europe who attended the show, attendance by U.S. based companies were slim.  Attending these charter shows is an important responsibility by charter brokers when properly servicing their clients' yacht charter needs.

Please remember that Rikki Davis Yachts at Churchill Yacht Partners has access to, and can book all yachts that are available for charter, including any yacht in the various publications and various websites.  If you don't see exactly what you want, call us - we will find it!

Rikki Davis Yachts at Churchill Yacht Partners always provides service that the most discerning consumer appreciates.  We offer unsurpassed customer service with complete privacy and discretion.

A Must Read - Happy New Year's From Us!!

Januray 1, 2009 - The team of charter brokers at Rikki Davis Yachts at Churchill Yacht Partners would like to be the first to wish you a Happy New Year.  2008 was definitely a roller-coaster of a year for most with the high fuel prices during the past summer charter season and the current uneasiness of the world-wide economy.

For those of you who received our 2009 Charter Fleet Guide and the letter that came along with it, 2009 is looking like it will be the year of the "best deal".  A significant number of yacht owners are dropping their charter rates to attract charterers.  If you have always wanted to charter a yacht, 2009 is the year to do it.  There are a large number of brand new yachts on the charter market as well as other yachts that went through entire refits in 2006, 2007 and this past year.

As long as the individuals interested in chartering a yacht are reasonable, most yacht owners are accepting all reasonable charter rate offers.  As one of the original retail charter companies in the world, Rikki Davis Yachts has the reputation, contacts, know-it-all, and expertise to work on your behalf to ask for these discounts, whether its 10% off, 10-days for the price of 7, free delivery, etc.  Our reputation and year-over-year volume of charters that we place on these yachts makes our negotiating power much stronger than the other charter brokers in the industry world-wide

Our continued exploration of these charter yachts at boat shows throughout the world keep us well-informed on the yacht's condition and the crew's abilities and professionalism.  Additionally, our travels give us first hand knowledge of the best cruising grounds around the world.

No matter where you reside, whether it is in North America, Europe, Asia/Pacific Region, Russia, South America, and the far corners of the world, we will find the perfect yacht to fit your needs, no matter where you want to go.

We respect the importance and confidentiality of our guests.  Each inquiry is handled personally by a professional, ensuring individual service and complete discretion.  Rikki Davis Yachts at Churchill Yacht Partners will arrange the details of your yachting holiday.

Therefore, take a step back from watching the news on CNN and the BBC; put down the Wall Street Journal for a moment and start planning a yacht charter for that memorable family vacation, that special birthday or anniversary gift for your spouse, corporate outing or retreat, or just a relaxing long-weekend cruise somewhere in the world.

Again, Happy New Year and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

Summer Yacht Charter In Greece & Turkey

January 14, 2009 - This time of year we start working with our clients for their summer yacht charter vacation in Europe.  This year we have decided to display a potential 14 day itinerary for you to learn about some of the popular cruising destinations in and around Turkey and Greece.  Part of our responsibility as your charter broker is to work with the Captain of your charter yacht to gather an itinerary that makes your yacht charter a success.

Istanbul, Turkey - Once called Constantinople, the city was the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire.  Landmark attractions include Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Sultan Treasures of Topkapi Palace and the famed Grand Bazaar.

Kusadasi, Turkey - Your gateway to the marvelous ancient ruins of Ephesus, home to some of the finest archeological artifacts in the world.  Enjoy amazing sites such as the Great Amphitheater, the Library of Celsus and the Temples of Athena and Apollo.

Rhodes, Greece - Apollo blessed this island with beauty and sunshine.  The "Island of Roses" is rich in magnificent scenery and gorgeous beaches.  Visit the medieval Old Town and tour the Grand Masters Palace, an Italian restoration famed for its superb mosaic floors.

Delos, Greece - This uninhabited island is one of the finest archeological sites in Greece.  Considered a sacred island since the 7th center, Delos is home to the famous, "Terrace of the Lions."  It also is considered to be the legendary birthplace of Apollo.

Mykonos, Greece - The narrow passageways of this gorgeous islands are a twisted maze of white-washed houses, miniature churches, lazy windmills and tiny cafes.  Shop for locally-made flokati rugs.  There is also a vibrant nightlife that can be enjoyed.

Santorini, Greece - With steep volcanic flanks looming straight up from the sea, this may be the most breathtaking and legendary  of all the Greek Isles.  Recent excavations indicate Santorini may be the fabled lost continent of Atlantis.

Katakolon, Greece - This is your gateway to Olympia, where the ancient Greeks gathered every four years for more than a millennium to celebrate the sacred games dedicated to Zeus.  Fall back in time as you wander through the ruins.  Don't miss the famous Niki "Winged Victory."

Corfu, Greece - Though once ruled by Venetian doges, Turkish sultans and French invaders, today's Corfiot citizen is as Greek as they come.  Visit St. George's Church, the medieval Palace of Phrourio or the 19th century Achilleion Palace.  The greenest of the Greek Isles, Corfu also boats thriving vineyards and olive orchards.

Dubrovnik, Croatia - Jewel of the Dalmatian Coast, girded in ninth-century walls that rise sheerly from the water's edge, Dubrovnik is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe.  Within the ancient fortifications is a labyrinth of narrow alleyways and a striking Renaissance boulevard called the "Stradun."  Tour the Franciscan monastery and explore Rector's Palace.

Crete, Greece - The capital of this Greek island is Heraklion where nearby lie the ruins of the Palace of Knossos.  Discovered in 1899 by Sir Arthur Evans and partially reconstructed, the elaborate palace is believe to be the mythical Labyrinth of King Minos and the seat of ancient Minoan culture.

Athens, Greece - The capital of western civilization boats an incredible mix of classical ruins and vivacious modern life.  In a single day, you can climb the Acropolis to wander around the Parthenon, join lively Athenians in Constitution Square, and then find a taverna for some spirited Bizouki music, tasty ouzo and some energetic Greek dancing.

Although this itinerary would typically take 14 days to thoroughly accomplish, it can easily be shortened into a 7 day or 10 day luxury yacht charter by starting and ending in Athens.

When looking at Greek and Turkey yachts on our website, select Eastern Mediterranean for your locations.  For more options contact one of our charter brokers.

Sail Away in New England This Summer - Your Yacht Charter

NEWPORT/NEWPORT – 7 Day Itinerary
Day 1- Depart Newport for Block Island. Just a short jaunt so you’ll have plenty of time to rent bikes and visit the beaches as well as the 150 year old Southeast Lighthouse. Also visit Mohegan Bluffs with up to 200 ft. clay cliffs and walking paths.

Day 2- Block Island to Cuttyhunk. Cuttyhunk is a part of the beautiful Elizabeth Island Chain and offers primitive island atmosphere. You’ll be able to explore this quaint fishing village that has fewer than 200 locals year round.

Day 3- Cuttyhunk to Naushon. Naushon is another island in the Elizabeth Island’s chain with a beautiful harbor called Tarpaulin Cove. The island is owned by the Forbes family, but you can still enjoy the serenity of Tarpaulin Cove and walk the pristine beach. The cove is generally not populated with other boats, so you can relax here and enjoy the quiet.

Day 4- Cuttyhunk to Vineyard Haven. Visit Martha’s Vineyard Historical Society & Museum in Edgartown with their exquisite classic wooden power vessels, ships models, costumes and gear used by whalers and early farmers. Stroll the quintessential New England streets with beautiful homes and shops full of classic architectural detail. If your port-of-call is Vineyard Haven, visit a true wooden boatshop at Gannon & Benjamin on the waterfront and watch artisans at work on classic boats. Or take a land tour around the island to include the famous clay cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Aquinnah. The tour should take you through Oak Bluffs and the beach where “Jaws” was filmed, and past the whimsical Victorian Gingerbread houses.

Day 5- Martha’s Vineyard to Nantucket. Nantucket is a great place to try your fishing techniques as the rips and jeddies around the island are famous for bass and blue fish. Nantucket was named by the Native Americans, which means “land far at sea”. Go back in time and learn the history of this one-time busy whaling port. Nantucket Town, with its cobblestone Main Street full of shops and restaurants, is an enjoyable afternoon for strolling and lunch.

Day 6- Nantucket to Hadley’s Harbor. This is one of the prettiest harbors in the world! You’ll be right in the middle of some of the quintessential towns of New England such as Wood’s Hole, Falmouth and Hyannis Port.

Day 7- Hadley’s Harbor to Newport. We’ll have a full day cruising back to Newport. Considered the center of yachting in the Northeast, you will be able to see the historical side of Newport. With a guided tour see some of the mansions along the famous cliff walk and remnants of the Guilded Age in America; or just stroll through the cobbled streets and discover this beautiful and exciting town.

Tomorrow will come too soon...for now savor the fresh New England air and stop to smell the roses along the way.

Call us today to discuss the endless possibilities for your luxury yacht charter.
